One-fourth of Rs 102 lakh crore infrastructure spending in energy sector alone

Announcing the infrastructure project pipeline for the next five years, the finance minister said the spending will help the country nearly double the size of the GDP to $5 trillion by 2025. According to the sector-wise break-up of projects, Rs 24.54 lakh crore investment will flow in the energy sector, and of that Rs 11.7 lakh crore would be in just the power sector.
