India's April-Sept fiscal deficit at Rs 9.1 lakh cr

The strain on the Centre’s finances continued to arise from a sharp fall in total receipts at Rs 5.7 lakh crore, representing 25% of the budgeted amount as against 40% achieved till September of the previous fiscal, data from the Controller General of Accounts revealed.
